DePaul Students Rally Against Kavanaugh

The images below chronical the October 4, 2018, DePaul student protest of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. This was just one of several protests that took place on this day as it was a nationwide planned protest. At the time of the protest, Justice Kavanaugh had yet to be confirmed and he was still under FBI investigation for multiple allegations of sexual assault and misconduct. Hearings over the accusations had taken place the previous week, which prompted Sen. Jeff Flake to request an FBI investigation. During the weekend following these nationwide protest, Justice Kavanaugh was confirmed to the Supreme Court, still amid protest.

Student organizers of the protest led the crowd in chants and introduce different campus organizations there to speak.|Breya Jones

Protesters facing the crowd held a variety of homemade signs all with different messaging protesting Kavanagh, Republicans and the Trump administration as a whole.|Breya Jones

Students left the quad as a group headed toward the train to meet with other protesters participating in the citywide protest outside of American Bar Association Chicago.|Breya Jones
